John was born in Burnley in the Sept quarter, 1894, the son of Thomas Fallows and Margaret Ann Blackburn. In the 1901 census the family lived at 12 Rochester St Burnley, Margaret (widow)35, John 17, Hannah 15 born in Durham, Ada 12, Mary A 8, Joseph 8, Margaret 4 all born in Burnley except Hannah. Margaret’s sister in law, Mary Ann fallows 36 weaver and her daughter Maggie 3.
Joseph was living with his brother John at the time of the 1911 census, john 26 shop assistant and married to Mary Ann 25, Joseph 16 and their son Arthur 11 months and Maggie fallows the sister of Joseph and John. They resided at 1 Rochester St, Burnley.
Joseph married Maggie Murphy on the 11th Nov 1911 in St James Church Burnley. Both were 18, James lived at 1 Rochester St and Maggie at 11 Vernon St.

Posted as missing from the 6th East Lancashire Regiment on August 9th 1915 at the Dardanelles, the war office now presume the death of Private J Fallows, whose wife and child reside at 8 Woodlands Street Burnley, for they have forwarded official notification. 22 years of age Fallows joined the army in August 1914, just after war broke out and went out to Gallipoli in the following June. He was formerly a labourer at Proctors foundry, Hammerton Street and last worked for Mr Ralph Mason, tripe dresser. He leaves a widow and a boy now 4 years old. A brother is serving with the Kings Liverpool Regiment.
Lived at 8 Woodlands Street.
Joseph left his effects to his widow Maggie Nutter.
