Charles was born in the March quarter of 1893 and baptised in St Mary’s R C Church on the 26th March, Burnley. The son of William Fox and Florence Whitaker. In the 1901 census the family lived on Colne Rd, Burnley, William 40 weaver, born in Weston, Durham, Florence 37, Mark 14, weaver, Clara 12, Charles 8, Florence 3 and Florence’s brother john Whitaker 21 weaver. All born in Burnley.


Lived at 70 Olympia Street

Charles left his effects to his mother Florence.

Charles was buried in Dozinghem Military Cemetery, Belgium: Grave Ref; XII.E.1.  Son of William and Florence Fox, of 72, Parliament St., Burnley.
