Killed in Action 19th February 1917. Aged 30.
William was born 5th Nov 1886.
According to his service record he was married to Maggie and they lived at 113 Colne Rd Brierfield. He had a brother, Admiral (first name)Pascoe and two sisters, Mamie Howarth and Eliza Dawson. He enlisted on the 17th Nov 1914 in Nelson. He was promoted Bombardier on the 27th Dec 1916 and was KIA 19th Feb 1917.

Mrs Pascoe of Lindred Lane Brierfield, has received word from his Officer that her husband, Bombardier 54494 William Pascoe, of a Trench Mortar Battery, had been killed in action on February 19. In his letter the Officer wrote: "I regret to have to inform you that your husband was killed in action yesterday (February 19) he was one of the best men I had in the battery, and was a splendid fellow all round. His death is much felt by all his comrades, and it is a great loss to the Battery. However he was killed instantly and did not suffer. He died a soldier's death at his gun in Action. He was buried this afternoon at Cambrin Cemetery. Please accept my deepest sympathy. A service was held over his grave."
Bombardier Pascoe was a native of Burnley, and well known in the town. He enlisted in November 1914 in the RGA, and went out to France the following March, becoming attached to a Trench Mortar Battery. Before the war broke out he was employed as a weaver at the Self-Help Manufacturing Company Burnley, and previous to that was a driver on the Burnley Corporation trams. He was 30 years of age and leaves no children.

William left his effects to his widow Maggie.
William was buried in Cambrin Military Cemetery, France: Grave Ref; G 48.
