Missing in Action 19th April 1918, aged 19.
In the 1901 census Albert and his brother James Henry were living with their grandmother Mary Oddie (68), at 55 Hebrew Rd, Burnley. James her son 36 and her daughter Sarah, the boy’s mother.
By the time of the 1911 census he had moved I door up to 57 Hebrew St. with his mother, Sarah 36 cotton winder, Albert 12 and widow Mary Humphreys.

Official news has been received that Private Albert Oddie 94618, of the kings Liverpool Regiment was killed in action on April 9th. His address is 34 Master Street Burnley. He had only reached the age of 19 on April 1st. He joined up last July and went out on March 29th last. He was his widowed mothers' only remaining son. He was formerly employed at the works of Messrs' Morris and Wilkinson and attended St Andrew's Church and school, being a member of St Andrews Boy Scouts. His brother was killed in November 1916. Some of his uncle's saw Active Service in the Boer War one of them being discharged after 17 years’ service in the army.

Albert left his effects to his mother Sarah.
