Only having been in the army since April last, at the front since August, Private James Morgan, 87846, of the Royal Welsh Fusiliers, has been killed in action. This was on September 18, and he was 20 years of age. His parents live at 8 Rawlinson Street Burnley. The deceased young soldier was a drawer at Towneley Colliery and was a member of the Boys Brigade connected with St Mary's RC Church. His father is in the RGA stationed in England at present and several uncles and cousins are serving.
